Fantastic STEM Talk & Zoom Around the Farm?
'Zoom Around The Farm'
Our most popular option and the price of this is included in our standard pricing system – its the part we love and has always been just another reason why Eggucation is special! Everyone that books this option will get;
🐥 A special password for access to a fabulous bank of videos covering loads of STEM based learning from how your incubator works to the different breeds of sheep on our farms!!
🐥 You will find age-specific video tours of the amazing rare breed birds that are the parents of your eggs/chicks, see where they live and how they are cared for, as well as find out fantastic facts about them. See where your eggs come from and where the chicks will return to!
🐥We have also produced other videos about the other amazing animals on our farms – find out about lambs, alpacas, pigs and emus too!!
🐥 A fantastic Zoom Farm Q&A talk A fantastic 15 min zoom call exclusive to your class, for questions they (and staff!) might have after watching the videos. Children can prepare questions about your chicks, eggs or the hens and other animals at our farms. This can be at any stage to suit your planning – before, during or after your project. The whole school can join the zoom to maximise the experience!
Just Hatch - No Zoom
Ideal if you are on a tight budget, this option is cheaper than our standard packages. Please get in touch for a bespoke quote!

🐥 ONE large fully automatic incubator with 16-20 of our beautiful mixed pure Rare Breed eggs.
🐥 TWO brooder cages. Display your incubator in a central location so that all the children can experience the chicks hatching, then split the chicks between two cages for different classes.

Incubation Options – 21 days or Quick Hatch?
🐥 21 Day Incubation
We set your eggs on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, and they incubate for the full 21 days in your school.
🐥 Shows the real length of time of incubation – another learning opportunity.
🐥 Enjoy using our Incubation Diary to discuss the changes that are happening inside each egg every day.
🐥 Build up the excitement as you wait for the eggs to hatch.
🐥 Use the countdown calendar to count down to hatch – lots of numeracy opportunities!
🐥 Enables you to enjoy a Candling Session around 7-10 days incubation – see below!
🐥 Quick Hatch
We deliver pre-incubated eggs to your setting on a Monday and they hatch on Wednesday of THAT week.
🐥 Ideal for younger children – no waiting!
There are many options to tailor your Eggucation experience to your setting but all hatching packages contain the following:
🐥 Delivery of your top of the range PAT tested equipment and eggs (mileage charged outside a 30 mile radius of Eggucation Offices)
🐥 Top of the range Fully Automatic Incubator. They can be left over weekends and short half term holidays.
🐥 Full incubator set up and staff briefing.
🐥 All feeds, feeders, bedding you will need for keeping chicks.
🐥 Fabulous brooder cage with unhindered visibility of your newly hatched chicks.
🐥 Heat pad for your chicks to hide under and keep warm (low wattage, so safe for the pupils).
🐥 Comprehensive instruction file.
🐥 Key Stage specific resources designed by teachers for teachers exclusively for our clients.
🐥 Ovascope for candling eggs (for years 5+ – other years as Bespoke Service)
🐥Full telephone support 24/7 – no question is too daft – the support we offer is second to none – see our testimonials.
Candling Packages – 21 day hatch only
After your eggs have been incubating for 7-10 days we can return to your school and carry out a 1 hour age-specific candling workshop with your students. This involves a lesson on the science of an egg, from the point of view of the chick. We look at chick development, and then gather to candle your eggs. Your pupils will be spellbound by their chicks jumping about in their shells! We also bring our amazing tame hens to meet the children in the classroom for a feed & stroking session! This service starts at an additional £75.
We can also offer Bespoke packages for all ages – from Full Day workshops in Secondary Schools (KS3-A Level), to school events and staff INSET on the delights of keeping hens in schools.
But we know that every school is different – we understand that and will accommodate any special requirements – just ring and ask!

🐥 Tame hens for everyone to pet, feed and stroke…. they LOVE this bit….
🐥 Age-specific STEM based classroom talk. From reception class through to ‘A’ level biology and nursing homes. From simple question and answer sessions about what they eat, to the genetics of colour inheritance in chickens…… we’ve got it covered
🐥 We also factor in 30 mins staff time, to go through what you need to do – but don’t worry we leave a super informative step by step instruction book.
No Classroom Talk
Ideal if you are on a tight budget, this option is £30 cheaper than our standard packages. Please get in touch for a bespoke quote!
🐥We deliver your eggs and equipment just as in the STEM talk option, but just carry out the staff briefing to show you what you need to do, set up your incubator, and leave you with a comprehensive step-by-step instruction book. Ideal if you are on a budget!!
